CHARITY GOLF DAY WON BY THE WIGLEYS GROUP

Zoë’s Place baby hospice is to benefit from over £3,750 being raised on the annual Loveitts Charity Golf Day, now in its second year, after professional firms in the region pitched in for charity.

Loveitts, a residential and commercial property company in the region, held a golf day at the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in aid of the baby hospice.

The baby hospice is Loveitts chosen charity for 2016 and is a registered Charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

There were eighteen teams representing the financial, property and legal sector took part but Wigleys Group were victorious winning the stableford competition by one solitary point ahead of Morrison Insurance and Lloyds Bank – last year’s victors coming third.

Paul Barnes and Chris Edsall both Associate directors of Loveitts, and who had organised the event were delighted with the amount raised on the day.

Paul Barnes said: “It was a fantastic day. The heavy showers we experienced during the day didn’t dampen the mood, the golf was good and we raised a really good amount of a money for a great cause. We were keen to build on the success of last year’s event and I feel we did that with more teams entered for the day and raising a considerable sum of money. We hope to continue to grow the event and hope that it has also given increased exposure for Zoë's Place.”
