John Pugh Runs 40k For Charity

Run My Lifetime Challenge

John’s “Run My Lifetime Challenge” involves him running 60 kilometres (one km for each year of his life) before 1st May 2020. This is split up over 6 separate 10k events, of which he has now completed four.

In John’s own words, “some might think as a ‘50’s child I should be running 60 miles rather than 60 kilometres but being the modern man I am I wanted to demonstrate to the world how much I’ve embraced the metric system (even if in every other respect - as a Chartered Surveyor of a certain age - I still see things in feet and inches!).”

Fundraising for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (Air Ambulance is Loveitts’ chosen charity of the year), John has currently raised a fantastic £730, with two events and plenty of fundraising to go before that target date next Spring. John’s personal target is £1,700 which is the average cost for each individual Air Ambulance mission.

“Cracking stuff John, keep it up!”

Air Ambulance

Your local Air Ambulance is able to reach a medical emergency in rapid time - this can be the difference between life and death.

Currently, in 2019, Air Ambulance has a total of 3282 missions, attending 16 counties. Their lifesaving missions are funded by your generous donations as they do not receive any government funding.

“Amazing cause”, “A service that you hope you never need but are grateful to know it’s there. Great work.”
