Loveitts are pleased to announce our chosen charity for
2019 – The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service!
The Air Ambulance Service operates the national
Children’s Air Ambulance and they have two air ambulance services covering
Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. These
two helicopters provide a rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over
an area of 3850 square miles. They cover many of the UK’s major road networks
including the M1, M6, M69 and M42. With an average response of just 13 minutes,
between them they attend on average six missions a day.
The charity does not receive any government funding and
provides all of their services free of charge. They are driven by first class
professionals, supported by a small army of volunteers, and rely entirely on
the generous donations of the public to fund their works.
Paul Barnes, director of Loveitts commented: “We host a
number of charity events throughout the year and feel the air ambulance is a
worthy cause to benefit from our fundraising in 2019. They provide an
unbelievable service and we are more than happy to help contribute in any way
we can.”
