A property agency in Coventry and Warwickshire has taken another five-year lease – on four seats at the Ricoh Arena!
Loveitts, which has offices in Coventry, Leamington and Southam, was a founder member of Coventry City’s Premier Club when it launched five years ago.
And now the firm, which has residential sales, commercial, lettings, auctions and land & new homes divisions, has signed up to remain in the Club for a further five seasons as Gold seat holders.
It sees them receive a host of matchday benefits – including padded prime-viewing seats with a nameplate, parking space, and the use of meeting rooms at the Ricoh on non-matchdays.
Peter Rosier, of Loveitts, said it was a great way to improve its company profile – particularly when the property industry had been through a ‘challenging period’.
He said: “I remember the day we went up to the Ricoh before it was even completed. We chose where we wanted our seats to be when it was just a concrete shell.
“None of us are what you would describe as ardent football fans but we felt that this was a great way to support Coventry City. We’ve made really good use of it and there have rarely been matches when we haven’t utilised the seats.
“The property industry has been through a very challenging period in the last 18 months to two years so you have to cut your cloth accordingly – but being members of the Premier Club was certainly something we wanted to maintain.
And as Coventry City look to a new future under new manager Aidy Boothroyd, Rosier believes there is optimism returning to the property market.
He said: “There is certainly evidence that residential sales are improving and there is a buzz returning to the office.”
Trudi Colledge, the Premier Club manager at the Ricoh Arena, said the Club had recognised the tough period clients had been through.
She said: “The Premier Club is a fantastic way for companies and individuals to enjoy the matchday experience here at the Ricoh Arena.
“Not only do they get to watch the football, it’s a perfect opportunity to meet clients and contacts in a less formal setting.”
