Loveitts Ltd was proud to be a part of the Nuneaton Town Football Club Golf day but came agonisingly close on both fronts in the well-attended event. This years event was played at West Midlands Golf Club, Balsall Common and the team of Chris Edsall, Paul Barnes, Nick Watts and Steven Day came second in the team event - the second year running that Loveitts were just short of first prize. The team event was won by Nuneaton Town football players - though assurances were given that the scores were correct!
In the individual event Paul Barnes came joint first, but unfortunately, after countback scores were calculated came second in the tournament. It was an excellent round of golf, and the good result capped off a thoroughly enjoyable day. Loveitts are a keen supporter of the local football club and has pitch displays at each home game at Liberty Way.
The presentation night was again well attended, with guest speaker Barry Fry,(ex-footballer and director of football at Peterborough Football Club) on hand to give out prizes. Ian Neale, Chairman of the club, expressed his thanks to all local businesses for their continued support.
