Laura Clark from our Commercial Department took part in The Reaper OCR Mud Run at The Heart of England Conference Centre, Coventry on March 25th 2017 taking part in the 10k run with over 40 wet and muddy obstacles along the way, from climbing cargo nets and vertical walls to sliding into a very cold lake, in order to raise much needed funds for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice in Coventry.
Zoe’s Place provides 24-hour palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and children up to the age of five. The facilities include hydrotherapy, music and multi-sensory environments, a self-contained parents’ suite, a starlight room in which parents stay during difficult times and child-friendly ‘cot’ rooms.
Every year the hospice has to raise £1.3 million to ensure that it is able continue to provide its vital service to the families it serves throughout the region and open its doors 24/7 Last year the hospice smashed through an ambitious £1million target to expand its services round the clock.
Laura will be taking part in another two of these runs – The Muddy Furlong on 15th July and The Mudnificent 7 on 12th August.
