Yes, you have to give 6 months notice when serving a Section
21, and yes a Section 8 is also 6 months unless you have 6 months of rent arrears,
severe anti-social behaviour or right to rent issues. There is a new
procedure that the courts are operating, first a review hearing, then a
substantiative hearing where possessions are being granted.
